Let It Snow!

Snow has returned to the blog. I get so giddy inside when I pull up The Blog and see the white flakes falling in front of the blog background of Zero’s world. It’s just so festive.

It’s also nice to see lots of new readers. For those of you who have found this place because of the new series on A&E, “The Killing Season”, I’d like to welcome you and hope you continue reading for a while now that you have found us.  I plan to cover quite a few things from the show as well as discuss my own conversations with Rachel and Josh in future posts. I have watched all 6 episodes so far and am eagerly waiting the rest. The show is very thorough in my opinion. One of the best I have seen on what I call The LISK Onion. I have noticed quite a few other out there think so as well. But I’m a little puzzled at some of those out there commenting on how good the show is, because these same people have said my blogs are  terrible and I should stop wasting (spelled right) my time, etc. Not that I mind, you all know I love my haters. But really (and I have said this before) I don’t get it. People praise places like Websleuths and shows like Killing Seasons but dump all over my blogs, when we all have covered a lot of the same things. Hackett, Brewer, Bisset, LISK.com, AC4, New Mexico, Florida, Neal Falls,  Serial Killer Truckers, Flukeyou (You’ll be happy to know Junior, that since you were on The Killing Season, the Flukeyou posts are getting record views!). Yes, I have written about most of the same things and yet I’m the bad guy while all these others are searching for truth and keeping the case alive.

Oh well, they don’t call me Zero for nothing.

Still, I hope everyone continues reading for a little while longer (at least ’till the snow stops falling), I think you will find quite a few interesting posts coming up. If I am going to bring this blog to some kind of end, there is much that we need closure on. And all though I really don’t care what people think of me (O.K. that’s not entirely true. We say things like that, but deep down we do care what people think about us. So deep down I’m no different. But on the surface “I Just Don’t Give A Fuck”), I would like to explain fully why I continued to blog about the people and subjects covered in all 3 of my blogs. Why I felt it was important to continue to write about Fluke, Dorothy, and The LISK Onion.

Lots to get to, so I better get to it. Again I hope you all will stay with me for a little longer, new readers, those there from the beginning, friends, haters, sleuthers, gamers, Fluke, Dorothy,Jen, Cristin, Nerd, The exiles, and yes, even you Nancy. I used to say “we’re just getting started”, well, we are past all of that now. We are ready to finish.

Until then… Let It Snow!

SNOW!

It’s snowing on the blog again! That means I’m way behind on these posts. Gotta get all this new crazies stuff out so we can move on to some other important stuff. Before we know it the year will be over, and that means a new “Top 10 Fuck Yous”, I wonder who will make the list. .lol.

Well, stay warm out there everyone…I’ll do my best to help by heating things up on the blog.

Now where was I? Oh yea…

Snow In Vegas

Alright, the snow watch is over. Nothing has stuck anywhere… but Jay Jay got his snow (although a trip is still needed into the mountains so he can build a snowman, make a snow angel, sled, and all the other fun things you do in the snow). He ran around in it for a while and was as happy as can be.

It doesn’t look like we will be getting anywhere near what was expected though. That makes for a safer New Years, I guess. I bet that 15 is packed right now. 95 as well. Well, I hope they are being careful, the roads are still dangerous out there. Get here safely, there is quite a fireworks show waiting for you here in Vegas!

Speaking of which, tonight will be the first night in a long time Sassy and I aren’t going out for New Years. The kids usually spend it with Grandma. I know bad parents… but in Vegas, you go out for New Years.

As I walked with my son in the flurries and flakes, I told him that we’d be staying in for New Years and celebrating it together. His already beaming face lit up even more.  So,  good parents again!

Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone!

No Snow For Jay Jay

So last night, before going to bed, I saw on my “smart” phone that we would be waking up to snow. I switched on weather by the hour and at 4 am it showed a picture of a snow flake.

My 9-year-old has been wishing for snow since last Christmas, he’s too young to remember the last time it snowed here and teared up when we showed him pictures of himself playing in snow when he was around 3 years old. He had kept saying he has never seen snow, so we showed him pictures and like I said  he teared up.

So last night. I showed him the hourly forecast on my phone, and as soon as he saw the snowflakes those tears began to gather in his eyes again.

“I’m gonna see snow!” He cried as he stared at my phone’s screen. He than followed the snowflakes down each hour from 4 to 10 am.

“I’m gonna see snow, I’m gonna see snow!” He yelled, dancing around the room.

My wife, much wiser than me at times (at times), cautioned me, “What if it doesn’t happen?”

But I was sure we’d be waking up to a white neighborhood (not how that sounds). I said, “There will be some snow somewhere in Vegas tomorrow and if I have to, I’ll drive him around till we find it.” To this my son grinned the biggest grin!

Well, woke up to the usual colored neighborhood (again, not how that sounds), although parts of the Valley are getting “lightly dusted” throughout the day, the local news assures me.

Damn!

Well, I guess we are going for ride.

Winter Storm Warning

That’s what it says on my phone. Weather channel says the same thing. Let’s take a look on the Net:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2014/12/29/uncommon-phenomenon-las-vegas-bets-on-new-years-eve-snow-storm/

OH sh@t! It’s true! Snow!!!

That’s sooo cool, but also very scary and dangerous!  New Years visitors are in for a surprise… and that trip down the 15 for Californians will be much more difficult then the usual sometime parking lot, stop and go trip. In fact if it is as bad as they say, that trip may not be possible after tonight…

We shall see!

New Years Eve 2014 Snow Watch In Vegas… begins now!
